About Me!

Early Career Experience

In 2016, I began my career at Best Buy as a Sales Consultant, where I developed strong customer service skills by working with a variety of mobility devices and assisting customers with activations for major carriers such as AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon. I applied my product knowledge to guide customers in selecting products that best suited their daily needs, enhancing their overall experience. This role honed my ability to communicate technical information effectively, laying a solid foundation for my career in technology. In 2019, I further expanded my technical expertise through an internship with Crowley Independent School District as a Dell Certified Technician Intern. During this internship, I collaborated directly with Dell to perform maintenance and repairs on laptops throughout the district, provided technical support to students and teachers, and built computer labs using district-provided technology. These experiences equipped me with valuable skills in computer maintenance and customer service, furthering my passion for technology and data.

College Experience

During my time at Tarleton State University, where I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics, I developed a strong foundation in programming, algorithms, and systems design. This academic background enabled me to explore various aspects of technology and data analysis, sparking my interest in data science. In 2022, I secured an internship with Doskocil Manufacturing, where I had the opportunity to apply my skills in a practical setting. At Doskocil, I worked on a key project involving Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to automate the processing of freight invoices. By developing scripts to process invoices from three different freight companies, I was able to significantly enhance the efficiency of the accounting department, reducing manual data entry from four invoices per day to four invoices per second. This project not only demonstrated the power of automation in streamlining business processes but also deepened my passion for leveraging technology to drive operational improvements and data-driven decision-making.

Passion for Data

My passion for data emerged during my academic journey and solidified through various professional experiences, where I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of data-driven decision-making. I am fascinated by the ability of data to uncover hidden patterns, provide actionable insights, and drive strategic initiatives across industries. Throughout my internships and roles, I've been committed to learning how to manipulate, analyze, and visualize data effectively, using it as a tool to solve complex problems and improve operational efficiency. Whether it's through automating processes or analyzing trends, I find immense satisfaction in turning raw data into meaningful information that can guide impactful business decisions. My enthusiasm for data extends beyond just the technical aspects; it is about the potential to harness information to tell compelling stories and create value for organizations.
